3. Public Health Orders and Enforcements

All individuals within a business, including owners, workers, volunteers and patrons, found to be in violation of public health orders are subject to penalty.

a. Violators may be subject to tickets of $1,000 per occurrence.

b. Courts could administer fines of up to $100,000 for a first offence and up to $500,000 for a subsequent offence for more serious violations.

c. File a complaint.

You can submit a complaint to this link goes to Alberta Health Services (AHS) public health inspectors if you are concerned that an establishment or person is not following public health orders. Public health inspectors or other Alberta law enforcement agency will investigate the complaint. If you cannot submit online, you can also call 310-4455 to submit a complaint by leaving a message when prompted. Please only submit a complaint once. Do not submit online and by phone.
